MWAC Rules: Roster Transactions Roster transactions include draft choices, waiver moves, and trades. Each team is allotted three (3) draft picks per year, one per each of the three round draft. Every year, each team is given four (4) waiver moves to be used during the first seven (7) weeks of the regular season. Waiver moves can not be traded at any time during the season, or during off-season trading periods. A team is not required to use any waiver moves. Waiver move priority is based on the current week's standings. The team with the worst record gets to select first. Ties between teams with identical records will be broken by most total points scored. Priority will be given to teams with fewer points. If a tie still exists, the team that has allowed the most points will select first. Beginning approximately 1-2 months prior to the start of the MWAC regular season and ending after 7 weeks of the MWAC season, trading is unlimited. The Commissioner may also authorize an "early season" trading period (generally in January or April). The week prior to the start of regular season MWAC games is a period of roster inactivity, or Roster Freeze, where no roster activity may take place. Go To: |
