MWAC Rules: Lottery

The MWAC Draft Lottery is reserved for the 8 teams that do not make the playoffs.

The table below summarizes a team's odds of obtaining the first pick via the lottery. The number on the left is reverse of where the team finished in the standings (i.e., team #1 is that which had the worst record). If teams have identical records, the team with the fewer points will get more chances. The Commissioner will determine when the lottery shall occur. Team #1 can drop down no lower than slot #3, regardless of lottery results. Team #2 can drop down no lower than pick #4, regardless of lottery results. Lottery results only apply to the first round of the draft. Rounds 2 and 3 order are based solely on the previous year's standings.
