These pages contain photographs of the wildlife and natural beauty of Antarctica that I took while doing research aboard the Nathaniel Palmer. In 20 days in the Bransfield Strait, we came in contact with a wide variety of wildlife. Each day was a new opportunity to head out on deck and search the the bergs, shorelines and water for signs of wildlife. We were very fortunate to have seen the variety and number of animals that we did. In addition to seals and penguins we also were visited by a pair of Humpback whales. For many of us on the cruise it was a real highlight. These pictures are intended to give you an idea of the diversity of creatures that we saw while doing research in Antarctica, and the beauty of the ice and sea along the Antarctic Penninsula.
