Purpose: To establish guidelines for the formation and activation of a Rapid Intervention Team (RIT)

 

Definition: Rapid Intervention Team (RIT): A dedicated team of 2-4 properly equipped and trained personnel who are assigned for rapid deployment to rescue lost or trapped firefighters.

 

Scope: Biron, Grand Rapids, Nekoosa, Port Edwards, and Rome Fire Department personnel.
