Intarsia Woodworking

Intarsia is an art of wood inlay.  I use various types and colors of woods to give the pictures their color and work with the grains for textures and design. (There are no stains used in the pictures you see.)  The woods are selected and then cut into pieces much like a puzzle.  Then they are sanded to shape to give the pictures a 3-D effect.  Some of  these have taken many hours of time to complete, but well worth the outcome.

I have been doing Intarsia for 6 years now, and each piece is new and exciting to me as it takes shape in my hands.  There are no two exactly alike!  Although at this time I do not take orders, I do hope you enjoy viewing what I have done.  If you have any questions or comments you may contact me via e-mail at Hanneman@WCTC.Net. I do not take orders at the present time though. Following is a collection of some of my intarsia woodworking done from 1991 to present.
